We are seldom 100% certain if our lab will be accepting new students in any given year. It generally depends on the funding situation. We are always happy to stay connected to explore the possibilities, while the threshold for us is never lack of research projects or ideas, but often lack of time and resources. We prioritize mentoring, and want to make sure we have time for everyone in the lab.
If you are interested in applying as a Ph.D. student, note that Burcu accepts students with microfluidics or microfabrication interest. We will be targeting biological research questions when it comes to application of the microfluidics.
If you are interested in applying as a postdoctoral fellow, note that Burcu seeks for connection of your idea with microfluidics. Recommended postdoctoral funds include, but not limited to, EuroTech, Branco-Weiss, AXA, Bill-Melinda Gates Foundation, Marie-Curie IF, and NWO XS.
If you are interested in applying as a M.Sc. student, note that Burcu accepts students with microfluidics or microfabrication interest. We announce the available M.Sc. projects here or on the right sideline on this page. Your skills or interest in programming (Matlab, Python, R) would be desirable.
